Rose Eden Carter, 86, of Indian Head, Maryland, died June 12, 2026.  She was born December 5, 1939 in the Philippines.

She was preceded in death by her father Roque Valencia, mother Leonila Guanga, sisters Lourdes Valencia and Evelyn Valencia-Arinduque, and brother Roberson Valencia.

She is survived by her husband Ramon Carter Sr.; children Ramon Carter Jr. and Gail Carter; grandchildren Randy Carter, Jennifer Carter and Christina Carter; and great-grandchildren Adrian Carter, Jameson Carter, Jocelyn Carter.

Rose was retired from the United States Government as an editorial assistant.

Rose Carter, a devout Catholic whose greatest passion in life was her Catholic faith, particularly her devotion to the Blessed Mother Mary.  She had great love for her earthly family husband Ramon, daughter Gail and son Ramon Jr.  She found deep joy and purpose in prayer, Marian devotions, attending Mass, church activities, and pilgrimages.  She was rarely without her rosary.  A dedicated attendee of the Traditional Latin Mass with a profound love for the ancient rites of the Church.

The family will receive friends at St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church, Indian Head, Maryland on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at 10 AM until funeral mass at 11 AM.  Interment St. Charles Cemetery followed by a repast at the church hall.
