It is with profound shock and deep sorrow that we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of James Thomas Claggett at the youthful age of 19 on June 15, 2026. James was born in Clinton, Maryland at Southern Maryland Hospital to James Keith Hare and Christina Lynn Claggett on August 26, 2006.

James was a recent graduate of Lackey High School in Indian Head, Maryland. James loved music, swimming, and riding roller coasters. James was always there to lend a helping hand when needed. James loved his family and spending time with them.

James is survived by his parents James Hare and Christina Claggett, his sisters Alex Claggett and Chantel Hare, his grandparents Elizabeth Hare, James Mahand, and Robert Hill and a host of aunts, uncles & cousins.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, July 10, 2026, at 10 AM until time of Celebration of Life service at 12 noon.  Family, friends, and others whose lives were touched by James are invited to attend and celebrate His beautiful life.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to Charles County Department of Social Services, 200 Kent Avenue, La Plata, MD 20646 we also request that privacy be respected during this difficult time.
